1. Act like a Human 2. Give good Rewards 3. Delight with Design
From CES to Sundance, Superbowl to SXSW, the start of the year is filled with brands releasing their brightest ideas with hopes of winning the hearts and voices of their people. But to be heard when everyone else is activating, whether Oscars or Upfronts week, it takes a strategic combination of elements to capture the right attention.
We love the challenge of cutting through the noise, and just helped Alexa and Coke energy do it at a very crowded CES with a voice-activated beverage-serving wall. Though it was far from the largest or most expensive installation, Alexa had a constant line as she dished up clever quips and handed guests Coke’s debut energy drink. Additionally, the installation won a lead story in Mashable and got picked up in a number of CES round ups alongside activations triple it’s size. The activation was so successful that we’re taking it to new places with Coca Cola and Amazon respectively.
So why did it work?
1. Act like a Human
At a conference full of technology, we ironically put a talking robot in the center of the floor – building a human connection between product and guest.
2. Give good Rewards
We handed out an energy drink at a conference where people are packing in as much as they can see – fueling the guests’ desire.
3. Delight with Design
Beyond looking good, we surprised and delighted guests when part of the installation slid open and Coke magically appeared.
